Founded in 2019 by a team of digital forensics professionals and cybersecurity veterans, Vault Forensics exists to give people a trustworthy, professional option when they've lost access to digital assets that matter.
Vault Forensics was born out of a problem our founders saw repeatedly in their previous roles in cybersecurity consulting: people losing access to significant digital assets, and having no legitimate, credible place to turn.
The market was — and in many areas still is — filled with firms promising guaranteed results, asking for large upfront payments, and delivering nothing. Our founders, Marcus Webb and Dr. Elaine Cho, decided to build something different: a firm that leads with honesty, backs it with technical expertise, and only takes on cases where recovery is genuinely possible.
Since 2019, we have assessed over 4,800 cases spanning cryptocurrency wallets, email and social media accounts, hard drives, cloud storage, business assets, and virtually every other form of digital asset. We have recovered over $38 million in asset value for clients across 40+ countries.
We operate under strict confidentiality agreements, hold professional certifications in digital forensics, and maintain relationships with platform security teams that allow us to navigate recovery processes more efficiently than most. We do not guarantee outcomes — but we do guarantee honesty, professionalism, and our full effort on every case we accept.
These aren't marketing words. They're commitments we make to every client.
We will never overstate recovery prospects to win a case. If we don't believe recovery is genuinely feasible, we tell you — and we try to point you toward alternatives. Honest assessments protect you and protect our reputation.
Every case is handled under strict non-disclosure. We never share client information, case details, or recovered assets with any third party. For clients who require it, we sign NDAs before the consultation even begins.
Recovery attempts are conducted by certified professionals using established methodologies. We document every step of our process and can provide detailed case reports. Our technical standards are not negotiated for speed or cost.
Every fee is disclosed in writing and agreed before any work begins. There are no hidden charges, no upfront non-refundable payments for failed cases, and no surprises. If we don't succeed, you pay significantly less — full stop.
Behind every lost asset is a person under real stress. We treat every client with dignity, communicate clearly without jargon, and dedicate a specialist to your case so you always know who is working for you and what they're doing.
We only use lawful recovery methods and we verify client ownership before accepting any case. We do not accept cases involving stolen or fraudulently obtained assets. We cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.
